Entrepreneurship centers, which are driven by Cenpromype in partnerships with governments, private entities and academia, served 20,537 people in 2016, 27% more than in 2015.

Belize, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama and the Dominican Republic have aligned their activities to promote entrepreneurship to give a message of unity of the ecosystem of support of the region, an effort coordinated by the Cenpromype, specialized in SICA.

El Salvador was one of the 160 countries that recently celebrated Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW), which is organized every year with the objective of connecting entrepreneurs with potential collaborators, mentors and investors.

The initiative was born in 2008 by the Kauffman Foundation and is considered as the celebration of the world's greatest innovators and job creators that takes place simultaneously in all participating nations.
