E.on earns 3,706 million euros until September, compared to the loss of 2016

Frankfurt (Germany), Nov 8 (EFE) .- The German energy supply company E.on had a net attributable profit of 3,706 million euros from January to September, compared to the loss of 3,948 million euros a year earlier, due to the return of taxes on nuclear energy in the first semester.

E.on reported today that the billing was reduced in the same 1% period, up to 27,937 million euros.

Last year, the depreciation in the Uniper conventional generation business, from which it has fallen, had created a net loss record and in the first half of the current year they returned taxes for nuclear energy that the German Constitutional Court declared illegal.

E.on decreased until September its net debt by 25% (19,700 million euros) and increased investments by 12% ((2,222 million euros).

Introducing the balance, the director of Finance of E.on, Marc Spieker confirmed the company's forecasts for 2017.

"All important figures and changes are in line with our plans, which is why we reaffirm our forecasts for everything 2017. We are well on the way to achieving new flexibility for our future investments and higher dividends, "Spieker said.

E.on expects an operating profit this year before of extraordinary between 2,800 and 3,100 million euros, and net before extraordinary between 1,200 and 1,450 million euros.
