Consumer prices in Mexico rise by 6.37% year-to-year in October

Within the subgroup of underlying goods and services, goods increased by 0.22% and services by 0.28%, month against month.

Within the non-core price index, agricultural and livestock fell 1.88% compared to September, while energy and tariffs authorized by the Government advanced 4.15%.

Thus, the item of non-core assets increased 1.76% month-on-month and stood at 11.40% year-on-year.

The basic basket price index, which includes a hundred popular consumer products, increased by 1.91% in the same period. October, to be in an annual accumulated of 8.80%.

The Inegi also announced today that in October the producer price index, excluding oil, rose 0.94% compared to September, so it reached an annual rate of 5.27%.
