Asunción, Nov 17 (EFE) .- The Spanish Chamber of Commerce of Paraguay today presented the entrepreneur of the year award to the Spanish Javier Berruezo, CEO of the Byspania Group, in an act in which Guillermo Caballero, owner of Manufactura de Pilar, was awarded for his business career.

Berruezo, 39, who was not present due to a circumstance family, became the youngest of the winners to date by the Chamber, which each year makes that distinction.

For its election took into account the expansion of that group Spanish in Paraguay, where it was implemented six years ago with investments in real estate, gastronomy and leisure.

The group also bought one of the four towers of the World Trade Center (WTC), located in the new financial and commercial center of Asunción, and in which it has ten plants that are leased as premises and offices for important firms and entities.

In turn, the board of directors of the Chamber recognized Caballero for the trajectory of his company, created 87 years ago in the city of Pilar, department of �?eembucú, and that in currently creates a thousand direct jobs and is the leader in Paraguay in the home textile manufacturing sector

The company has a thousand jobs direct and has an annual turnover of 30 million dollars.

Caballero became the first entrepreneur to receive this award, as the award for the career Professional was established that year by the Chamber.

The event was attended by Paraguayan and Spanish businessmen as well as Government representatives, such as the Minister of Labor, Guillermo Sosa.

The annual designation of the entrepreneur of the year is one of the activities of the Chamber, founded 41 years ago in Paraguay as an active and efficient vehicle that helps the development of the trade and investment between Spain and Paraguay.

The Chamber has on its board of directors leading Spanish companies, including BBVA and Agencia Efe.
