"In order to improve the welfare of the population and boost sustainable growth in Argentina, CAF - Latin American Development Bank - will finance $ 2 billion over the next three years, "the bank said in a statement.

The regional credit agency confirmed this commitment to finance after the CAF's executive president, Luis Carranza, met today in Buenos Aires with Argentine President Mauricio Macri and Argentine Finance Minister Luis Caputo.

The resources will be destined to finance projects in strategic sectors, such as education, water and sanitation, transport, logistics and energy.

For his part, Caputo said that" the contribution of CAF represents a new sign of confidence from the agency multilateral approach to the government of President Mauricio Macri. "

Prior to the meeting with Macri, Carranza and Caputo signed the documents of six loans for a total of 460 million dollars that they had been recently approved by the regional credit agency's directory.

These disbursements will be destined to water, potable water, railway and promotion works of public-private investment projects, among other projects.
